VFace multi-channel Displacement
VFace Docs » VFace multi-channel Displacement |
The displacement map represents the "height" information that will allow the mesh to be tessellated/subdivided and get a super high-level of details at rendertime.
Our multi-channel displacement map, also known as channel packed map is super useful when it comes to get great flexibility at rendertime.
This brand-new multi-channel only available on VFace packages is fully-complementary, meaning that all these frequencies are independent and unique across the channels. In other words: There is no overlapping data between the Red, Green, and Blue channels.
The information of this 32bit float exr map is stored into the red-channel, and should be normalized between 0-1 (with a margin of error of 5%).
As a result, a ready to use - high-quality 16k multi-channel displacement map!
