I SET THE MESHES
-
Go to file/import and import both your source mesh and your target mesh.
-
Go to rendering/material editor and go to the compact material editor. Choose the Arnold Utility/Map to material and select a file name set for the base color at the bottom.
3. Select your map, and assign the material to the source mesh
II THE BAKE INTERFACE
-
Go to rendering/Render to texture. The baking interface will load. We will need to adjust the General Settings, the Objects to Bake, and the Output sections.
-
Select an output folder where to bake.
-
Be sure to have selected your target mesh in the outliner for the baking.
-
Enable Projection Mapping and pick your source mesh as the reference. Be sure Use Existing Channel is set, or else your Uvs will be deconstructed!
-
In the Output menu, click on Add, and select Arnold_Albedo. Set the target Map slot as Base Color Map and Set your resolution.
-
set the views and render as baked at the bottom, then click on render!
You can now see the result in the Render view! As you can see, it may have some artifacts on the extremes you can easily clean in Photoshop!
